None of our group spoke an French so communication started off a little shaky...but then the hostess asked if anyone spoke Spanish, and one of our group speaks excellent Spanish...so our stay wound up going of without a hitch. The breakfast provided the next morning was well above our expectations...what fabulous folks are running this lodging. Everyone in our group would stay here again.

Nice comfortable, large bed. There are many electrical outlets to charge all your electrical items in both the sitting room and the bedroom. Very good WiFi and good telephone reception inside the house. It is a short walk from SNCF and close to the chateau and restaurants. Sonia is very helpful and gave me a nice selection of breakfast items the night before since I was leaving very early.

Great location, easy to find, clean and very nice inside. Close to historic part of town. Don’t be out off by the small stairwell and entrance. The apartment is so much nicer than you expect! It’s quiet. Great to have your own kitchen with more than just a microwave in it. I’d definitely stay here again. Super comfy bed.

Great location in the center of lovely medieval Mirepoix, good, charming restaurant under the trees (the duck was delicious), very good wifi, easy to park in the street outside. Hairdryer in the bathroom. Breakfast typically French (coffee, croissant, baguette plus a few extras) and good unless you are expecting a full buffet with a million options. Our room had a window over the roof and restaurant, which was nice but a little noisy until the last diners left.
The location is amazing. Very quiet in a small, charming town. There are climbing crags just a 5 minute walk away and other towns like Foix and Tarascon are only a 20 minute drive. As outdoorsy people (hiking, fishing, climbing) there was tons for us to do in this area. There’s quite a few tourist attractions around as well.

The auberge was charming, the proprietor was attentive and welcoming. We like the way he ran the establishment, don't be surprised if he askes you to arrive between certain times of the day, it is a way of keeping costs down. Not all the rooms have wonderful mountain views, but the village is in a great location.
