Set in a chalet from the 1800s in Hasliberg in the Bernese Oberland, Pension Staldacher is just 300 metres from the cable car to the ski area, in a quiet location.

The newly renovated room offers views of the Bernese Alps and the North Face of the Eiger, and provides direct access to the garden with barbecue facilities. It has a separate entrance. This place made my vision of what I was hoping for come to life. It was magical and so were my hosts. I have been raving about the Hasliberg-Reuti, Meirengen area and Pension Stahldacher.

Located in Brunig, 11 km from Giessbachfälle, Gasthaus Brünig Kulm provides accommodation with a terrace, free private parking and a restaurant. The property is around 43 km from Grindelwald Terminal, 43 km from Lion Monument and 43 km from KKL Culture and Convention Centre Lucerne. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and Lucerne Station is 42 km away. Everything is so perfect. The location is perfect, you can see the mountains in front of the hotel, and the sunset. Really beautiful. Also it’s just a few minutes walk from the train station, very accessible. And it’s close to other small beautiful towns within one hour train. They have parking spaces, too. There are also hiking trails near the hotel, we went to many quiet and beautiful places. And the facilities are in good quality, very new and clean. The room is warm in the winter. The staffs are also very friendly and helpful, we even got the Christmas gifts from them during our staying. I love the hotel and will come back again.

The Gletscherblick offers free private parking. 2 bus stops are only a few steps away. Unique family-run property, full of historic character. Friendly and helpful staff. Cozy room with a comfortable bed. Epic hikes just out the front door. Dinner and breakfast both excellent. View of glacier-topped mountains at sunrise from the patio while you sip your morning coffee is pretty much unbeatable.

All units at the guest house are fitted with a seating area. With a private bathroom fitted with a shower and a hair dryer, units at the guest house also boast free WiFi. At the guest house, each unit has bed linen and towels. The whole building was spotless clean including my room and the common kitchen. This has been my absolute favorite. I appreciated the huge puzzle completed and framed in my room also. The Czech lady was very kind, attentive and helpful.

The two rooms on the second floor have each a private bathroom and a flat-screen satellite TV. They offer views of the Alps with the mountains Eiger and Wetterhorn and farmland.

The family-run Tourist hotel in Reichingen/Meiningen is near the world-famous Aare gorge, the Reichenbach falls, the open-air swimming pool and the funicular station.

The cosy restaurant serves traditional dishes at reasonable rates. Amazing value for money, friendly and flexible staff. Breakfast buffet was varied and generous. Although it’s a 15 minute walk from the town centre, it’s right on the Via Alpina (so great for hikers) and close to the Reichenbachfall.
