Safe neighborhood, nice to have microwave and frig. Less than 1/2 the cost of many regular hotels in area, making it worthwhile to pay for a cab to take us for shopping, restaurants. Front desk called cabs for us, was less than $3 ride downtown. Very nice, very reasonable, simple guesthouse in a regular safe little Botswanan neighborhood.

At the guest house, the units have bed linen and towels. We chose The New Mall Guesthouse for the nights in Maun at the beginning and end of our holiday and inbetween safaris. We had already stayed here in 2019 and liked the location: it is very short distance to the airport (7-8 min walking), to some shops and banks. The guesthouse is simple but clean. The staff is very friendly. This time, the receptionist was particularly helpful when we had some trouble with our flight booking. We could leave part of our luggage at the guesthouse for some periods and it was always safely returned to us. We would definitely stay again if we are back in Maun.
