This weekend booking was a birthday treat for my brother and his wife, for my brother's birthday. They both had been working really hard & were stressed and exhausted - my brother regularly not sleeping well. They returned from their overnight stay at Hollyhock absolutely *glowing*, happy, and truly emanating *relaxation* from every pore! I haven't seen my brother so totally relaxed in ... since COVID began, really. (And he had slept exceptionally well, my sister-in-law smilingly told me.) They *loved* the wonderful breakfast provided and the light, airy, windowed "nook" in which they relaxedly partook of it, looking out onto the beautiful garden grounds. They will definitely come back - and we will come to Hollyhock too!

Situated on a trout and sheep farm, with views of the valley, Tuki Retreat offers self-contained cottages. The cottages are nestled in the middle of the property, on the edge of a private lake. The gardens were beautiful, I loved the water feature, it was calming. The facilities were clean and warming. The hosts were absolutely fantastic, professional and happy to work in with our itinerary. Off street secure parking was great. Breakfast was absolutely beautiful each day, any allergies to food was discussed well before our 3 day 2 night stay.

Mary and Derek are excellent hosts (along with the roos!) and have thought of every detail in setting up The Retreat.
