I am so glad we chose the Hound Tooth In over the commercial options. we had the King room, which was spacious and the fireplace was so warm and romantic.The complimentary beverages and reception in the evening was just cherry on the top of the cake. The chalet exceeded our expectations. It's a cute little cabin in the woods, beautiful surroundings, very peaceful and of course the lake just adds to the experience. The cabin is fully equipped, well functioning bathroom and kitchen, big comfy bed. It's very cosy with vintage, hunter style decor. The owner lives just next door and is the nicest and the most helpful person you will ever meet. Location-wise, also amazing as very close to Yosemite. There is a shop in Bass Lake, where you can get pretty much everything, but there's also a bigg-ish town nearby Oakhurst with supermarkets etc.

Both hosts are very nice people and do everything to make your stay comfortable. The house and location are very clean and cozy with a lot of cute animals around the house such as squirls and humingbirds. They give you a lot of extra info for visiting Yosemite and choose the right hikes for the next day. For early starters they make a nice breakfast to go.

Very cozy inn with a warm welcome by Christine. Breakfast was very convenient for to go and still delicious. There are lots of great restaurants nearby, and the 1 hour drive to Yosemite is very doable. At first I booked the wrong date by mistake and only noticed this after the booked date. Christine was very generous by still giving me a refund, which she didn't have to. An overall great experience, would definitely recommend this place if you're visiting Yosimite.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Clean, well furnished, spacious, quiet, great host, parking space, complimentary wine, coffee and tea, kitchen had almost everything we needed (except for baking sheets and corkscrew). Pictures are a fair description of the space (it actually felt more spacious in real life). Nice balcony (no neighbours in sight), although there's an adjacent unit, it felt private enough.

Super spacious rooms, access to a small kitchenette (fridge, microwave, kettle, dishes). Peace and quiet, 20 minutes by car from the southern entrance to Yosemite Park.
I asked for a quiet room and it was quiet. The room was also spacious and plenty of parking even though there were lots of guests on the weekend. I appreciated the courteous staff. Great location for us.
This is a very tiny cottage, or a hut. It has everything you need except for space for your personal belongings. It is relatively close to the Yosemite park and it is both quiet and yet close to the road. It is within a short drive to the Oakhurst town. It was clean, private, with fully equipped kitchenet. We enjoy our time there and would definitely recommend the place.
Great location for heading into Yosemite. Took approximately 1.5hours to get into Vernal Fall area. Oakhurst is a pleasant town with supermarket and other local shops.
The hotel restaurant does excellent food and cocktails and is always lively and busy with good atmosphere.
Pool and Spa (jacuzzi) were perfect for aching legs after hiking in the day.
Room size was great for us - a little old fashioned, but perfectly clean and charming.
