Situated down New Zealand's incredible Forgotten World Highway is Omaka Lodge, a 5-star boutique bed and breakfast set amongst several acres of beautiful country gardens. It is a 7-minute drive from Taumarunui and a 1-hour drive from Mount Ruapehu.

Loved everything about our stay. Beautiful gardens, fantastic food, all the comforts one could wish for and both Chris and Scott were really friendly and delightful hosts, no to mention their cooking was out of this world. Nothing was too much hassle and we would have loved to extend our stay. Definitely would return there at some time in the future.

Lovely house and garden (complete with glow worms!) in a very nice part of the town - quiet and secluded but close to the town centre. Helen is a great host and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended.

Views were stunning, property was private, quiet, clean, and bed was comfy. Host provided clear instructions for access to property and offered assistance if required. Bush walks around the property were scenic and the location close to other tourist activities. All up, a breathtakingly beautiful spot.
