For everyone who is planning to visit Amsterdam, I would recommend staying in Alkmaar instead. From there you can easily take a bus or a train to Amsterdam. Alkmaar is such a nice small city with gardens full of flowers and cherry trees. The accommodation definitely exceeded my expectations. The house was lovely and our room was nicely decorated, super spacious. Hosts were so friendly, they made us breakfast every morning which included eggs from their own chickens, freshly baked bread, vegetables, fruits, ham, cheese, fresh orange juice and coffee. I couldn't wait for another morning just to have this breakfast! Also, the hosts gave us their bikes, so we could ride around Alkmaar and the last morning they took us to the train station by car as our train was scheduled early in the morning and there were no buses available. It was truly an amazing stay! Thank you so much! :)

Ron and Anouk were great hosts! The B&B is exactly as expected and in 15 minutes you are already at the beach. We also had two dogs with us and were warmly welcomed. The room was exactly as we expected and the breakfast was super tasty. We were able to use the bathtub in our bathroom to relax after a cold winter day. We really lacked nothing and can recommend the accommodation without reservation!
