A wonderful and cosy apartment, extremely clean and nice. With a very charming terrace to have breakfast or dinner. Breakfast is wonderful and the hosts are very welcoming, with precise instructions to reach the place. Totally recommendable.

Beautiful position on side of lake, nicely presented. Good location for visiting many gorgeous villages. Dined at the hotel for 2 nights, the food was excellent & catered specifically to us. Excellent service & lovely attentive staff. We would love to visit again & would thoroughly recommend.

The host, who speaks perfect English, welcomed us and took us to the apartment and talked through all the facilities, the wifi, kitchen etc.
He showed us on a map the places he suggested we visit other than Amsterdam which we were pleased about as we only wanted to spend one day in Amsterdam.

We had a great time! The location is great: the flat is right on the harbour in a beautiful quiet village, yet only half an hour from Amsterdam by bus. The flat was clean, had everything one needs, and the hosts were friendly.
Outstanding location - a very short and cheap bus ride from Amsterdam gets you to a romantic small town with excellent views, quality restaurants which are not overcrowded by tourists. Stay at Fortuna Spinoza as a highlight of our trip. It is better than on the pictures, its VERY clean, from our room we had a magic view to the garden. Breakfast was excellent with a big attention to detail and local products. Edam town is nearby too.
Prerfect value for spending time in Amsterdam but still experience a romantic atmosphere of small town.

Great location with the harbour and free parking directly in front of the property, and also convenient to drive to Amsterdam. The hosts were very friendly and had useful advice for where to park etc. The accommodation also felt very private, with access to our own kitchen etc. Very happy to have stayed here.
Everything was simply perfect. The bed was very comfortable, the bedroom was really lovely and tastefully decorated. Really nice shower and huge bathroom!! Excellent breakfast and staff were lovely. We definitely recommend for anyone looking for a nice quiet getaway!
Monnickedam is a beautiful quiet historical city, wonderful place to rest and a perfect base for sightseeing Amsterdam. Charming house is offerring lots of beautifully arranged space including small garden with sauna, jacuzzi and sitting space. Kitchen fully equipped. The house is located at the heart of historical center of the city which creates an exceptional climate and invites to spend time at the house and listen to old carillon.
