Very friendly and helpful hostess. Peaceful location and a comfortable room with a good bed. Excellent breakfast. Good restaurant in nearby town. We very much hope to return sometime and enjoy more of this interesting area.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Very well situated. Quiet at night. Everything needed was there - especially in the kitchen. Plenty of comfortable beds. Check in super easy and we didn’t quite leave at 10 for check out but the people were very understanding and flexible.
The house was fabulous, very spacious and clean. The kitchen was very well equipped. There was ample parking space for our car. It was quiet, close to the beach for lovely walks.
Staff were great letting us use the washer and drier and even giving us some detergent.
The idea is really quirky with wooden lodges inside an industrial unit. It was quiet during our visit.
A good location to access the town centre and great that bikes can be stored indoors near your lodge.
The kitchen area is useful and has plenty of plates , cups etc
The little veranda on each room is nice if you don't want to be in the room all the time
The four-star rating is highly controversial. For me, it's a rather nice three star hotel. But clean everywhere, standard room amenities. Absolutely great location right on the beach. Staff neutral, a bit of smiles would have done the front desk good. Absolutely great breakfast.
This place is a Gem. Not really in the city center and behind outdoor activity places so you didn't expect much but the hotel was great. New and relatively modern and right on the beach. The room was fine, the breakfast had a super selection. And I I felt for the first time on our trip that the price was right. - I can also recommend the restaurant right across the way. - The food was really tasty.
If you like quiet and quirky, this is the place to stay. A lovely village with canals, cycle lanes, and slow traffic. Wish I could have had more time to explore. Great value for money, clean, breakfast was perfect for me (big fan of cold meats, cheese, bread, and yoghurts).
It was nice and quiet as the weather wasn’t great! restaurant bar lovely, but not cheap! cost more than the accommodation! Shame the accommodation didn’t include breakfast.
In the centre of Makkum a quiet coastal town, with parking. Friendly owners , limited choice of evening meal but tasty, and value.
