The location is excellent. It is very close to the train station and to the village.
And the space works so well. This is one of the most comfortable BnB type places I've ever stayed in.
And I definitely recommend ordering the breakfast basket. It contains a delicious and generous, selection of fresh foods.

This beautiful Shepherd's house built in 1844 is a very special B&B. It is filled with an interesting collection of antiques throughout connecting it to its wonderful past. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was exceptional every morning with fresh eggs from their own hens and beautiful home made marmalade. There was youghurt cheeses meats and an abundant selection of scrumptious breads which set you up for the days exploring. We hired bikes in nearby Castricum as it is a good walk away from the town. With the bikes we were able to explore the wonderful nature reserve and beautiful beaches. We also cycled to beautiful Alkmaar for a day which was well worth the cycle. There is a train station in Castricum also. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at The Shepherd's House B&B Would highly recommend it💞🥰

We just loved everything about this property! The bus stop is just outside the B&B - which made it really accessible! The B&B is literally in the heart of Haarlem, making walking around and exploring a pleasure! Then, the Breakfast is everything and more than anyone could ask for!

For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
The location was scenic and quiet. The room very cozy, functional with very nice beds + bedding, coffee & thee and a very nice ensuite bathroom, all new! Ohja and the breakfast was delicious with fresh bread rolls and everything you need on top and a pritty cannister with yoghurt and fresh fruit. Freshly squeezed orange jus completed it all. Very nice!
Excellent b&b! Very nice hosts and excellent breakfast Room was spotless clean and the bed was really comfortable. First day we had breakfast at the bakery and the second day that it was closed they brought us a huge breakfast basket at the room. Highly tecommended

A fantastic opportunity to experience castle living. Warm family atmosphere. The staff was incredibly helpful when we opted for a private room relocation.
The room was big and the hot water is quite ok. When you are travelling by car, it is super! Not far from Amsterdam. The breakfast was quite good and had a lot of choices. The staffs were very nice! It locates in a town which is quiet.
