Mooi guesthouse 日新町, a property with a garden, is set in Aizuwakamatsu, 1.9 km from Aizuwakamatsu Station, 4.4 km from Mount Iimori, as well as 21 km from Kitakata Station. The property is around 31 km from Ouchi-juku, 32 km from Mount Bandai and 2.4 km from Aizuwakamatsu Castle. The guest house offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi.

Such a good vibe! I really liked my stay here. Asa-san is a very kind and good host, and the guesthouse is very welcoming and clean. The living space invites for conversations, and I have met interesting people during my stay! Aizu-Wakamatsu is a city that grew on me, with a lot of interesting architecture. The gardens (Oyakuen) are beautiful and well worth a visit. The recommendations from the owner were spot on: the ramen close to the house being an incredible place for breakfast or lunch (Uende Yamaga), the onsen/sento is one of the better ones I've visited (Fujinoyu), and the local specialities at Mitsutaya we're great. All in all a 100% recommended spot to spend a couple of nights - I would choose this place over a hotel any day.

The inn will provide guests with air-conditioned rooms with a desk, a kettle, a fridge, a safety deposit box, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with a bidet. At Yukkura Inn the rooms come with bed linen and towels.

The staff (from Hotel Shousuke no Yado Takinoyu who are also in charge of Yukkura Inn) are really helpful but only a few of them speak English. Possibility of borrowing a bike for free; wonderful onsens

We slept very well here! Bedding was very comfortable. In a quiet neighborhood. There is a grocery store a few minutes away by foot. Kitchen was well equipped however no oil was available.

The food was very good,it was buffet style for breakfast and dinner. The hotel was luxurious, with many quiet areas for relaxing. The highlight was the onsen hot bath on our balcony with stunning views over the hills and river.

Great location - Near the train station, and about 15 minute walk from Mt. Iimoriyama. I rested well at this hotel, thanks to the window shutters and the two pillows. Breakfast was delicious, filling, and somewhat Muslim-friendly - the grilled salmon was delicious (assuming no mirin). Lobby was spacious, beautiful, and decorated with local specialties. Great price for a 3-star hotel.

Beautiful location by the river, lovely Japanese style room, wonderfully relaxing private outdoor onsen which you can book for 45 minutes, amazing kaiseki evening meal. The evening shamisen performance was a nice touch. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, spoke English to us, and catered for my husband’s food allergy. Thanks so much for a delightful stay!

The man out front helping with parking and the man assisting in the restaurant were exceptional and extremely helpful and friendly. In general, they were all extremely good, given the language barrier. The private bath, with the view of the falls, is wonderful. For anyone over 5' 5" or 175 cm, be aware that the building is 135 yrs old, so has low beams in some areas.

The staff were very welcoming even though we had little to no japanese skills. The food was amazing, and so were the onsen (we had a private one on our balcony, highly recommended if you are shy). It's definitely worth doing. It's a little bit of a trek to get there, but it's well worth it.
