We liked everything. It is quite evident that the owners have spent considerable time perfecting the finer points. From the moment you walk in the front door you feel welcome, be it the scintillating aroma or the little things such as shower robes and bespoke shower soap/shampoo. Add to that, good Wi-Fi, a well equipped kitchenette and modern appliances and it makes for a trouble free relaxing stay. Not to mention that there is always parking available along the quiet road outside and the range of glorious shimmering water beaches that the Gulf of Taranto has to offer only a 10 minute drive away! We went to an Agriturismo for dinner one evening, recommended by the owners, located just down the road and what a pleasure that was! Honestly, what is there not to like!

Simona was very friendly and easy to reach via WhatsApp. She gave good recommendations for local restaurants and was flexible with a late checkout due to bad weather. The villa was clean, almost brand new. The Jacuzzi was perfect for the bad weather and the shared pool (overlooking the vineyards) offered a nice view, especially at sunset. Lizzano is close enough to the beaches, Taranto, and a nearby mall for rainy days. Breakfast offered sweet and savory options, and Simona even offered to make eggs on request.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
The hotel is a hidden gem. Truly an unbelievable hotel with its location and staff you cannot beat it. We were greeted immediately by Roberto who was very friendly and to our delight new English. He welcomed us in and showed us our beautiful room with its own pool and great view of the sunset. I highly recommend this place. Breakfast in the morning is a full spread of fresh fruit, eggs w/ toast, croissants and meat and cheese tray with fresh juice and the coffee of your choosing! Thank you Playa Paraiso for a wonderful stay!
