The hotel was shabby, black mould in bathroom ceiling, the plumbing leaked in the bathroom, hotel informed us that they did not provide clean towels or room cleaning even for a 3 night stay. advertised but no on site restaurant - potholes and rocky path with no lighting to go to the main street, where minimal food was available and not tasty food. In all felt like a hotel and a town that was depressed and uncared for

The accomodation is really close to the start of the Mount Batur track. Like really close 100m. This was great for our walk as there was no pickup required. They also organized our guide for the trek who was awesome, limited English but was very friendly and tried his best. He took heaps of photos and videos of us on the trek.
The host was very helpful and friendly. They drove us to a dinner location, dropped us to an ATM.
The accommodation was great value for money and the room was clean, tidy. The whole place was very quiet and tranquil.

The place is a great starting point for trekking up mount Batur. The guide arranged by the very helpful and nice hosts picks you up at the location at 3:30, no car is needed, you just start walking from there. We only booked at 7pm directly at the accommodation and it was no problem! Also highly recommend the guide that was provided, we were given the option of a different way down where we didn’t have to tag along with the hundreds of other tourists!
After the trek you can jump into the warm pool and have a simple but good breakfast. The hosts are super friendly and helpful.
The accommodation is clean and the beds are comfortable, the rooms are very basic but functional. Bathrooms could use a little update but everything worked.

It‘s an absolutely beautiful and quiet place with a perfect view of Batur.

The breakfast and dinner was always prepared fresh and tasted very good. You are a bit remote (20min up the hill) from the town. So be prepared to walk a bit if you want to see something else.
As mentioned in other reviews there are some dogs on the way. But just pass them, they don’t bite.

The staff are very friendly. The view is awesome both morning and evening. It is a tranquil place to stay in. It is near the volcano and can walk easily from there. Peaceful place with beautiful view of the vulcano. Clean, quiet for the most part, all basics covered, hot water well running, natural spring water pool, owner is very sweet and would go out of her way to make you welcome and comfortable. It's family ran and it is really the only 3 rooms so it's quite private and wonderful for a group of friends or a family to have a couple days stay. We wanted to walk to the lake and the owner was so kind to come with us and show us the way. We had a lovely stay and experience the local hospitality.
I have spent two nights at the hostel, one in the dorm and the other in one of the glamping tent. Both were nice and clean! The view from the tents is particularly nice, especially when the sun rises.

Great location for our climb of nearby Mt Batur. This was arranged for us by the owners and we had a good guide for our hike and a comfortable, quiet stay in the bamboo chalet. Owners and staff were very helpful and friendly and would have been nice to have stayed a second night after our walk, but no time unfortunately. Nice view of the lake and nearby mountains.

It’s a great location. In a quiet place but near to everything. The room is well appointed as very clean with a tea/ coffee station and filtered water. The hosts are so friendly & helpful, they made us feel right at home. Also, they organised a boat trip across the lake to The Devi Danu temple & the cemetery, returning at sunset we had the most spectacular views.
The staff is extremely friendly. We did a private tour to mount batur with a very nice guide arranged by the hotel. They brought us to the water springs for free and picked us up. Breakfast is tasty especially the banana pancake !
