We had a fantastic stay at Oemah🤗 It’s a family run business, the son manages the place and the parents and siblings are helping out. They are extremely welcoming and it feels like home. The place is beautiful, you can tell the owner put his heart into building this place. The room itself is simple, modest, fairly clean and very comfortable. First I thought not having an AC will be an issue but you’re in the mountains so it’s actually gets quite cold here so there is really no need for one. The bed is surprisingly comfortable and the shower has good water pressure and plenty of hot water. We were pleasantly surprised as this is usually an issue in many accommodation in Bali, but not here! Also, the Wi-Fi speed is really good, we were able to stream Netflix and watch movies. The breakfast is simple but fresh and it’s done by the father and mother. They can also cook you dinner which was very tasty - we tried the nasi goreng and the ayum lalapan. You’ve also got a swimming pool and a campfire place which is very nice in the evening when the sun goes down and the weather gets chilly. It has a very cozy ambiance to it. The road to the place is a bit rocky and the village itself does not have much to offer but this is a great place to stay if you’d like to do the sunrise trekking or just go up to the nearby mountains to have a look at the breathtaking view to Mount Batur. Grab or Gojek is not available in the area but they managed to get us a driver to take us upstairs where all the restaurants are - he asked for 200K to take us and came back later to pick us up. I highly recommended Oemah because it’s not just a place to stay but you can also experience the local people’s hospitality and kindness which is priceless. Thank you for everything!🙏
