We found Mare's place by accident and book only a single night. We needed a place to stay to break long journey home from our vacation. Location of this property is just a short drive above Vrlika town and surrounded by meadows and mountains. We had a wonderful stay and excellent breakfast. Hopefully we will return some day in the near future.

Villa Barbara was the place we stayed where we felt more at home in all of our travels. We stayed for almost one month and the owners are the most friendly people ever - their hospitality is way above average! Villa Barbara is quiet, friendly, gorgeous, and the lake is only a few steps away. The closest town with supermarkets and restaurants is only 8 minutes away by car. I would recommend this place 100% and really hope I can go back.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.

Drago is a great host, gave us recommendations to the area. When we got there he brought us juice and offered coffe. He also gave us fruits and chocolate throughout our stay.

Peaceful and really well facilitated. The owner is lovely, she gave us lots of fresh fruit and vegetables from her garden and was really helpful. Excellent location for the lake!
You can rent kayaks from the garjak rowing club at the weekends!
First of all, Mare is one of the greatest hosts we've ever encountered! She is very polite, kind and she cooks delicious food. Secondly, we got in love with this acommodation because the bed was very comfortable and the surroundings were peaceful and everything was quiet, making it a great place to connect with nature. The famous lake - Eye of the Earth - is close, like approximately 15min drive-way trip.
Everything what you need. Perfect calm and quiet place. Firsty we were struggling with finding the place. I thing Booking dont have actual coordinates of accomodation. But if you put in google maps name of accomodation you will find it easily. Thank you for welcome beer :-)
Quiet and peaceful countryside location. Close to landmarks, lake and the eye of the earth. Mr. Drago was exceptionally welcoming and went extra mile to make our stay pleasant.
Fabulous!! The apartment is fully equipped, the beds are extremely comfortable, and the area is very quiet. They paid a lot of attention to detail. The hosts are super friendly and attentive, and they even offered us fresh produce from their vegetable garden. It was the perfect choice to unwind after a weeklong festival. There is a parking space inside of the property. The city center is 5' away by foot (two supermarkets, a pharmacy, a bar, and a restaurant).

Comfortable room, quiet area, nice views, great host. Shower head was large, and working, which is a rarity in the Balkans. Only stayed one night as we were just passing through, but would have been nice to stay longer. Plenty of parking space. Lots of bike trails in the area that cover the cetinje springs. Hopefully return at some point to explore more.
