The studio is clean, spacious and comfortable. Very good beds. The kitchen is handy and simple enough for us to do all we need. The balcony has a stunning Mountain View. We were surrounded by the sounds of the cicadas, birds songs, goats’ bells and the twinkling stars. The host was extremely friendly and welcoming. He was at the bakery all day long. We bought some honey and beeswax ointment. Also close to an excellent restaurant and great hiking opportunities. We found this place by accident. Ended up loving it so much that we simply stayed in the village for two days. We love the peace and tranquility. Almost no traffic but full of life of a local community. N.B. Ask them if you want to buy the traditional, authentic Cretan backpack from the old lady next door to the bakery. You can even see the loom and the yarn she uses. What a treat !!!

Splendid location, very clean and comfortable. The food was very tasty, original, but they were able to cater for our child, who is a fussy eater . The place is a family run and you can feel welcome by the whole family. They also sell some local goodies and very cool t-shirts and other activities. Due to the bad weather our plan had to change and the owner was happy to offer a solution and help!!! Also they were happy to share a local knowledge of the place and were easy to chat. Highly recommend! if only we knew it would be so nice we would plan a longer stay. The village itself was also wonderful, very quiet, authentic with kind friendly people and amazing scenery. This was a very simple place. The lady who ran the rooms was very pleasant and the price was very fair. The cafe downstairs was extremely pleasant. I arrived on foot with my son. We both enjoyed staying here. The simplicity of the place appealed to both of us, even with the forty year age gap. And every one loves Loutro!

The location is perfect- it's the first hotel you get to when you get off from the ferry. The bar/restaurant is so inviting with it unique and quaint decor. The hosts were wonderful to talk to and so accommodating. Will definitely stay here again when we go back to Loutro
