What a wonderful place and what a caring and compassionate person Katie the owner is. I was on a walking holiday and got horribly lost, and got very upset.Katie came out looking for me. The whole place is exsquite, can’t find any faults. Loved my room, loved the breakfast, loved the hosta

We stayed 5 nights and it was just overwhelming. The cottage ist situated in a scenic landscape, right at the edge of Ireby. It is a perfect starting point for exploring the lakes and the Cumbria coast, with Keswick, Buttermere, St. Bees and other places of interest in easy reach. Rooms are spacious, recently renovated and very quiet. The breakfast is excellent, and so is the three course menu that you can have for dinner: fresh, using local produce whereever possible, varied and nicely served. Simply delicious. What makes this place stand out beyond all this is the hosts: their hospitality and care, their attention to detail, and their passion to provide guests an experience they will remember - we definitely will.

The room was spacious, quiet and well equipped. A lovely private view of the garden with the rabbits hopping around. The house presents very well both inside and out. Breakfast was perfect, presented exactly as requested in a cosy dining room.

Excellent value for money with everything we needed. We booked the Hayloft cottage which was cosy & comfortable and had the added luxury of a private hot tub. Fully equipped kitchen and the piece of home made lemon cake on arrival was a lovely touch. Loved the goats, donkeys and chickens outside our window.
