    I always try to stay here when visiting with work. Great location as just off the main road to Westlakes and Sellafield but quiet. Also, a short walk into Whitehaven. The staff are always very friendly and helpful and the food is good.

It was tastefully decorated, with comfortable seating and a charming ambiance that made it the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploration.     Stunning old Georgian manor house with a beautiful spacious windy staircase, very historical feel. Lovely cooked breakfast as well as fresh fruit salad and home made bircher - nice touches! Nice spacious bright bedroom with stunning views over the garden. So quiet and away from any busy roads Janet was a lovely host and very knowledgeable and helpful with local restaurants
