Like everyone else says, Sarah is a happy and friendly person, keen to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Very chatty on the local area, particularly the wildlife. Interesting characterful place. Great location for short walks - a huge Buddhist Temple, woods, fields, a canal, the estuary, and Ulverston itself all within easy walking...

HH Accommodation, hotel in Ulverston

Situated within 27 km of Muncaster Castle and 42 km of Lake Windermere in Millom, HH Accommodation features accommodation with seating area.

This place is brilliant. I stayed here when doing a ‘Wild Weekend’ with Cumbrian Heavy Horses. It was very clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. It was really useful to have the fridge and microwave available for guests to use, and the self-service breakfast and drinks available at all times. There was also always water and fruit available in the corridor. David was so friendly and welcoming. It was a lovely quiet location overlooking the sea and I enjoyed evening strolls along the coast path. I would definitely stay here again.

We normally stay in hotels or self catering flats etc but staying above a pub was fantastic and the reason for that was the rooms were better than any hotel we have stayed in, we would come back anytime and we would also recommend this to any body with families or couples or singles, i had 3 grand children with me, my wife and 2 of my daughters and my great grand child who is only 2 year old and it was brilliant

Coffee & Stays at Cartmel Square, hotel in Ulverston

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Coffee & Stays at Cartmel Square features accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi.

Great location only a few minutes walk from the car park and main restaurants in Carmel. The room and the amenities offered in he room were outstanding. The quality of the bathroom would put most 5 star hotels to shame. I would recommend getting room 5 if you can. The breakfast in the morning was delightful as well, the staff were friendly and welcoming. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The Cavendish Arms, hotel in Ulverston

The Cavendish Arms is a 450 year old coaching inn set in the picturesque village of Cartmel. Located on the outskirts of the English Lake District, Morecambe Bay is just 11 minutes’ drive away.

It is a lovely place to stay, very good staff and even better food and service. A breakfast chef that knows how to make scrambled eggs to perfection, I get sick of staying at places that can not do such a simple task. The evening meals were superb, full of flavour and fresh. We will be back.

Quiet seclusion, the hosts were very friendly - we were given a discount at the Gleaston Mill store "the Pig's Whisper" as cottage residents and were also allowed to tour the Mill itself at no charge. Vicky and Mike (the owners of the mill and the cottage) were great hosts - the two small bottles of wine and Milk in the fridge were most welcome after 4hrs on the road.

This lovely quaint cottage was quiet and peaceful. It had 2 large sitting rooms with tv’s and large comfy sofas. The bedroom was immaculate with a fabulous power shower. The whole place was gorgeous and I’m hoping for a return visit.

A beautifully renovated farmhouse with lovely old features, but at the same time modern and stylish. The owners are justifiably proud of this wonderful b and b. Excellent breakfast, very comfortable bed, great shower. This has to be the amongst the best we have ever stayed in. Will definitely want to return.

Clean, everything was ready for the family, full set of kitchenware, elegant tasteful interior with nice decor elements and overall we felt like home there. Great location, very close to the City centre but quiet, parking is nearby, not so expensive.

Great location in town centre but in a quiet street. Pub a couple of minutes walk away. Ample parking at the time of our visit. Very well equipped flat in terms of furniture, crockery, cooking utensils, glassware etc. On leaving we met the charming ladies who clean the flat and they take pride in providing basic requirements (tea, coffee, milk, condiments etc) so that guests don't have to rush straight out to the shop on arrival.
