Exceed our expectations.Normally stay in branded hotels/motels which are grossly over priced. We couldn't have been made more welcome. The large room was great.Plenty of wardrobe space, large bed.Great facilities in the room.Breakfast was amazing. The choice and quality were on a par with those chain type hotels where the staff sometimes struggle to crack a smile.

The lodge was so well equipped, spacious and comfortable. The outside space was excellent too, again well equipped. The fans came in very handy as it was extremely hot whilst we were there. Very relaxing place to stay. Only sounds were the ducks, moorhens and coots and the odd thwack of a golf ball. Wonderful stay, lovely views and very private, we wanted for nothing.

The bed linens and towels were clean. The shower was powerful. The tea and coffee making facilities were refreshed every day. The breakfast was excellent; both the bacon and sausages were delicious. Staff serving breakfast were friendly and helpful. Easy check out. Great location for us to visit friends in the area.

We really liked the comfortable twin beds and the fact that the room was at the back of the pub, which meant it was quiet. It had a kettle and coffee/tea facilities and the room was spacious and clean. We also appreciated that you could access it through a side entrance, which was beneficial in the evening.

Breakfast friendly, even when under pressure. was really good and the staff were both efficient and friendly. The annex across the road is really good, quiet and relatively peaceful, although parking by pub patrons prevents easy access to the car park.
