We were traveling with two children on Christmas Eve to see the Royal Family walk to church on Christmas Day. The room was actually two rooms with an adjoining door- one room had a double bed for my husband and me, and the second room had the WC and two single beds for the kids. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful- even helping my son up the stairs with his bag.

Very charming inn dating back to 1668. Updated very nicely. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. This area (and the visitors it attracts) is low-key but upscale and this inn fits that bill precisely. The food and the wine list are first rate.

We did not meet the owners or staff . There was a lock box with the key and we were sent the code by email.It was different but was fine. We had a quick answer to a question.

I liked the location, it was close to everything, including the bus. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant had good food and an old English atmosphere. We would certainly stay here again.
