Wow! What a fantastic B&B! The furnishings and decor were top notch, super comfy beds, and the garden patio area was absolutely gorgeous! Alan was a superb host - we enjoyed our visit with him very much! He recommended a great Indian restaurant that was a short walk away, and the food there was delicious! Alan had a wonderful breakfast in the morning for us. Overall we were delighted with our stay. We wished we could have stayed for another night!

What a stunningly beautiful, historic property! Tanya and Robert were such gracious, personable hosts. Just really lovely people. I arrived quite earlier than expected due to having to take a taxi there because of the rail strikes but they were more than accommodating. The four cats on-site just brought such warmth to my stay. Tanya was also kind enough to make me a homemade breakfast each morning and nothing was too much trouble. The little garden in back was just so peaceful and serene and I spent a lot of time out there given the nice weather. Tanya even brought me a candle when she saw I was still savoring the outdoor area after dark! The room itself was quaint and comfortable and while it retained a sense of history, it has been updated with modern conveniences. There was a mini fridge and plenty of outlets for charging devices. Basic provisions like mugs, wine glasses and spoons were replenished each day and I appreciated they had milk and water in the fridge. It's clear the love and thought these hosts put into what they do.

This is a small privately run hotel. It's got loads of character and a homely touch. Nothing generic here. Lots of attention to detail especially at breakfast. It's not high luxury, and it's not got all mod cons, but it is well located has easy parking and is a decent place to stay.
