We chose this B&B for its association with my favorite movie, P&P; however the charms went beyond the obvious. The atmosphere was delightful, the breakfast delicious and the hostess charming, informative and accommodating. My family and I felt like we were visiting a distant relation. She helped us to get on the road in time to make our next destination in a timely fashion, even though this likely put her out a bit. For those from the US I will add that she had washcloths and a sheet under the blankets with more blankets available. This is a first on the UK as usually a duvet is the only option which leaves no middle ground in adjusting temperature. Overall, we had a delightful yet all too short stay.

Everything was amazing from the staff that went above and beyond to meet needs and accommodations. Breakfast was included in the price which was a big plus. Very delicious and well made. The location is perfect as well, close to everything. Laura was over the top amazing. I rented a car and didn’t know my way around with the road signs or driving on the opposite side of the road. She was kind enough to let me look over at her daughter’s driving manual which helped alot. She went above and beyond

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. It was extremely clean, comfortable and quiet. It was well equipped and the host was very helpful. It's in a great location for walking into nearby Oakham and for exploring the surrounding area. The parking facility was excellent.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. We stayed in a 'dog friendly' room and there were treats and a bed for the dog. The hotel was so quiet with no traffic noise. We had an excellent breakfast. Overall it was a really nice, peaceful place to stay and we are planning to return.

Great location for a really good boutique type hotel.. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The room was clean, well equipped and comfortable. Finch's is very popular for Sunday lunch, but we were told they always keep a table for room guests, which they did. Excellent breakfast, Eggs Benedict recommended!
