Mason's Arms, hotel in Norham

Featuring free WiFi and a restaurant, Mason's Arms offers accommodation in Norham, 31 km from Bamburgh. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Every room has a flat-screen TV.

The Mason's Arms is a lovely little village hotel/pub accommodation with great hosts/staff, very friendly, good humoured and helpful. I had a twin room which was clean and cosy and equipped with a kettle and hospitality tray with tea, coffee, biscuits etc. There was a good sized shower in the en suite which was very welcomed as I arrived by motorcycle and was very cold - the shower was excellent! The kitchens were closed on the night we stayed (mentioned on booking.com) but all was not lost as a mobile fish and chip wagon pays a visit the same day of the week, with a varied choice of fish/chips/chicken/haggis/sausage etc. Very tasty! The 'full English' the following day ticked all boxes. I've nothing bad to say about this property and would recommend it as a perfect base to explore the local castles and countryside.

All staff were really friendly including the locals in the bar. Our room was in the new annex and couldn't fault it, very clean, comfy and quiet. The bar area was very cosy with a great choice and a lot cheaper than down south. Evening meal was really nice with a good range to choose from. Breakfast was lovely and all cooked to order. All in all the Masons is a great place to stop over and will use again when in the area.

Very well cared for Bed and Breakfast. Parking on the grounds, quaint village. For dinner you need to go a bit far, to other villages, which may take 20 minutes to half an hour by car. But that doesnot matter when on holiday.

The location was a lovely quiet village and the B and B was exceptional.Sheila and her husband are wonderful hosts and we much enjoyed our nine days we spent in Abbotsford. The room was very comfortable and oh so quiet.Breakfast was very well cooked and plentiful. It was very hot weather during our stay and Sandy kindly provided us with a very effective fan, which was much appreciated. This b and b is everything a b and b should be and we would be very happy to return one day.It is the best of the best!

Lovely bed and breakfast in quiet village on the banks of the river Tweed. Modern decor and comfy beds. Plus guests had use of a fantastic communal lounge with large TV and kitchenette. All this was supported by very friendly hosts. Although this is aimed at cyclists, walkers like myself are very welcome.
