The White Horse Inn is set in the village of Barton, 5 km from the historical city of Cambridge. National Trust - Wimpole Hall is 9.4 km away and the property is close to the M11. The traditional Inn features an inglenook fireplace, free WiFi private parking on site.

Rooms come with a flat-screen TV. You will find a kettle in the room. All rooms are fitted with a private bathroom. Extras include free toiletries and a hairdryer.

The inn has two rooms in an outbuilding detached from the pub, so I didn't find noise to be an issue at all. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and very accommodating. Room was large and spacious, with a good-sized bathroom to match. The inn is an a quiet village outside of Cambridge, which I guess could be good or bad, depending on your tastes. There is a bus stop directly in front of the pub if you don't have a car. The hot breakfast (full english for me) was delicious and generously portioned. I would absolutely stay again.

My stay here was booked as a treat by my wife, and a treat it was! Although only a brief 2 night stay, it was exceptional. Janet and her husband were very welcoming on my arrival and throughout my stay. The accommodation is well situated away from the main road in a quiet area, but at the same time, it is well located for a visit to the Imperial War Museum Duxford, which is where I was headed during my stay. The B&B is exceedingly well appointed and very comfortable. The interior is tastefully decorated with a nice touch of class. I was able to come and go as I needed. The bedroom was very comfortable indeed and had everything I required - ensuite, internet, coffee making facilities etc. The breakfast was spectacular! Plenty of variety and enough to set me up for the whole day! Janet was even kind enough to present me with a small cake with a candle for my birthday, which I celebrated during my stay. A lovely, thoughtful touch from a welcoming host. Thank you! :-)
