Text from Plas Dolguog prior to arrival clearly detailing how to assess house and room and checking for any food allergies. Quick response from them to any questions asked. Plas Dolguog is beautifully decorated throughout with a modern chic feel and our room was clean, comfortable and had a good size balcony with views of the mountains. The shower had a choice of rain shower head and adjustable head and was very easy to use. The dining room has a grand piano in it and the whole place has a touch of quiet elegance with a homely feel. The house itself is old, and has wooden bean details and charming sloping floors. There is a great selection for breakfast and the chef can adapt the menu should you have allergies. I discussed this over text the day before. I recommend trying their own honey.

Our stay in Dolffanog Fawr was outstanding. Not only the owners were helpful and welcoming, they also went far and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Their place has a homey feeling without loosing any details, its like a five star hotel-home. We loved it. The rooms are spacious, clean and tidy. The views are incredible and the breakfast was outstanding.

i thought it would be like a YHA hostel. I hadn't realised it was privately run. I wouldn't recommend it but it was cheap so I should have realised it wouldn't be very good. There was a heater in the room so that was a plus. I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

Lovely charming cottage, full of character and in a great location. The mountain scenery is beautiful. There is a pub over the road and cafe a short walk away. We had everything we needed and Alex the host was very friendly and welcoming and made sure the heating was on for our arrival. Communication prior to our arrival was really good. Very dog friendly - would stay again!

Great location, short walking distance to shops, etc. Accommodation had a cosy homely vibe. The beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could need. The area was very quiet at night. The heating was on a timer and it was lovely and warm when we got there, which was a nice surprise. TV even had Netflix working, which was a nice bonus after a big day out on the rainy hills. I would definitely stay again.

Breakfast was good well cooked and large portions. Would have liked some fresh fruit as listed on the menu. The property is in the middle of being refurbished but room 5 where we stayed was already done. Everything thing was new and obviously very clean. Quiet room

For me this was a perfect 10! Spacious, comfortable room and the nicest bathroom I have ever seen. The staff should get a reward for being the nicest, warmest and friendliest you can have; making an excellent breakfast and giving usefull advice for daytrips. And last but not least, a historic building with a nice atmosphere in a quiet surroundings.
