Very homely place to stay. And interesting decor. Lorna was very friendly and welcoming and was very generous with what she had to offer us apart from breakfast. An easy going atmosphere and we felt relaxed there. Great position by sea front yet close to town.

This was the true meaning of an old fashioned B&B - we were treated so lovely and not just another name on a spreadsheet.

The location is great, very quiet with a fantastic view to the sea! The lady who owns it is lovely! The room is pretty nice and clean! The breakfast was pretty good! I would definitely stay there again!
lovely cottage in really quiet location...log fire in the living room made it extra cozy. Helmsdale is a very welcoming place and we have booked another date already.
The host is very welcoming and friendly. She went out of her way to accommodate us. We had a lovely chat with her over breakfast. There's no private bathroom, but at least there's a sink in your bedroom. The interior is all very authentic.
Selkie House was perfect for our family of four. Great location. Lorna the land lady was so nice and made great breakfast for us every morning. Comfortable beds.
