Bed nicely sized, not lots of stretching out space but it's a bed room, bed, lamp, TV if in the mood to watch, all you need. Absolutely beautiful B&B. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. Breakfast was fabulous (we had the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs one day, and the full English the next) - a real treat! Our room was great, lovely comfy bed and a wonderful bathroom with separate bath and shower. Short 10 min walk down to the beach, great location. The hosts were delightful and make us feel so welcome.

The Laindons is a B&B as it should be. The house and all rooms are decorated not like a hotel, but like a family living space. Very tasteful, comfortable and pleasant. The hosts are very friendly, breakfast is exceptional. Also the location is perfect in Hastings. Silent street, directly in the centre. The Laindons is certainly not cheap but it is probably the best hotel I have experienced so far.

Number 46 is a short walk from the railway station and also from the seafront. We were greeted and shown to our room which was very comfortable, off the first flight of stairs and very quiet. It was clean and thoughtfully kitted out - a lot of thought had gone into the decor and comfort. There was a good choice of things for breakfast - individual fresh fruit salads in preserving jars, individually boxed cereals, beautifully cooked poached eggs, and good coffee. Checkout was seamless and we arranged to come back to pick up our bags later on the day we left.

The Black Rock House was exactly what I needed after a long journey from New Zealand. Clean, tidy, well-equipped, spacious, and not to mention the host, Vincent, was incredibly helpful and accommodating (and cooks a great breakfast). The house isn't in the centre of Hastings, but it's a reasonable and straightforward walk into the town.
