The Percy Arms, hotel in Godalming

Located 13 miles from Box Hill, The Percy Arms offers 4-star accommodations in Guildford and has a terrace, a restaurant and a bar.

Friendly reception every time I appeared , on arrival , for dinner , for breakfast, a family feel to the place which is an antidote to the soulless corporate chains. Food is cooked to order and of very high quality with a saffa twist. Rooms are well appointed with quirky furnishings

The Lion Brewery, hotel in Godalming

With free parking and cooked breakfasts, The Lion Brewery features a lively bar and traditional restaurant. Just 1640 feet from Ash Railway Station, the inn is 15 minutes’ drive from Guildford.

Stayed as a stop over for cycling the King Alfred way between Winchester and Reading. We just wanted a bed, breakfast and a bathroom for the night with somewhere to secure our bike that wasnt too expensive. This filled the requirements exactly. A band was playing till quite late on Sat night but we didnt mind as they were so good and we were so tired we fell asleep to the music anyway. Great curry house within sight too.

The Coach House, hotel in Godalming

The Coach House is set in a rural location in the village of Rudgwick on the Downs Link, a walking and cycling route that runs from Guildford to Shoreham.

This is a lovely place to stay. I would stay there again without hesitation. It's in a quiet location in a very rural setting. The room is nicely decorated and fully equipped. Excellent shower. Access to the sunroom was appreciated for sitting quietly. No problem with off street parking. The hosts were charming and very accommodating. They were a pleasure to chat with and were very attentive. I enjoyed my stay there.

Excellent Breakfast and a really quiet and secluded location. About 50 minutes from Gatwick airport, the reason for our stay, so as the break up our long journey from South Wales.Nice restaurants and pubs in Godalming as well as The Withes Pub is understandably closed on a Sunday Evening.

Picturesque old inn with great character in quiet location surrounded by trees. Our room was close by, in a separate newer building across the good-sized car park, with a view of the garden. Excellent breakfast, plenty of choice for dinner over the 3 nights we stayed & all staff were friendly & attentive.

Great Location and parking over the road easy, very well thought out spaces in the pub and bedrooms (stairs a little tight) Very well decorated and comfy bed. We ate in the pub both nights and the bar food was excellent (skinny fries PLEASE) Great selection of craft beers, very friendly helpful staff. Simple breakfast was perfect to send us on our way very happy with our stay. You could not have squeezed an inch more of useful space out of this lovely old pub, well designed, well done. Thank You to the Team at the Rose & Crown

The inn exceeded my expectations. The staff were most helpful. I loved the quaint character of the building. Breakfast was excellent. Cereal, croissant with a selection of jams, fresh fruit with yogurt and excellent coffee. They even had oat milk. I would definitely stay there again but with such good reviews it may be difficult to get a booking.
