Breakfast is great, homemade marmalade a real treat. Rooms have no keys, just access codes. Really lovely quirky property. I had to go out to work at 5am (came back for breakfast) and there's special door to use. Nice biscuits!

Clean and comfy bedrooms, newly refurbished. (Bit of a fresh paint smell) Staff helpful and safe parking in the beer garden for bicycles and motorcycles. The public areas need a refurb with new furniture to improve the first impressions. The location is excellent for the ferry (2 minutes drive) if a little uninspiring on first view. We've stayed before so knew what to expect. A locals bar so expect some rowdy singing and banter.

I loved the grand Victorian hotel but as mentioned in other reviews it could be updated a little. I stayed with my 7 year old and we had a great sleep. The bed was very comfortable and room was nice and warm and very quiet at night. Staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was nice and there was a good variety. I would stay again if ever in Felixstowe again as it was a great location near the town and beach.
Fantastic old building with character, a good location with plenty of car parking and across from the train station, wonderful and helpful reception staff, comfy bed, fluffy white towels and an excellent breakfast
We were given a suite on arrival instead of the luxury double we had booked the room was a little tired (I understand it is due to be renovated shortly) but quirky and loads of space
This hotel does so much right. Great location for my on-going travels, easy to find. From the lovely entrance with the revolving door to the welcoming reception. Has a bar with very reasonable prices and plenty of areas to sit down for relaxing.
Breakfast is efficiently organised and cooked really well. Plenty of choice too. Rooms are clean and comfortable and warm. Water temperature and flow was adequate in my bath with shower over.
Overall a quaint hotel that does it right. I'd stay again if in the area.
Delightful stay, as ever, in our FAVOURITE Felixstowe hotel. Highlights? A warm welcome from friendly staff all round, delicious evening meal and super-generous cooked breakfast, with fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt and pastries if you wanted. Fresh, clean linen and bathroom.
And IMPORTANTLY a charming and unique blend of the old/historic and new in the he decor. Do not EVER 'modernise' this lovely hotel! It's just perfect as it is.
