Apr 2024 Just spent two nights at this gorgeous little guest house. What a fantastic place this is. So quirky and homely. Sheila the hostess couldn't do enough for you, the place was clean, the room's each had their own bathrooms. The breakfast was made freshly for each person and wow it was lovely. The village is very nice with quite a few pub's, the locals are very friendly we asked about getting the bus to York. The bus leaves the market square the 30x was the quicker one, and the fare was £2 per person. Well worth doing by bus, the stop was just in front of the toilet block, market square. A very enjoyable break and we'll definitely return and recommend.

Family owned and managed inn, overlooking the pretty Georgian Market Square, offering a warm welcome, fine food, real ales and good accommodation. All rooms are en suite with welcome tray and TV/telephone. Log fires in cooler months. The hotel makes an ideal base for visiting York, The Dales, The Moors/coast or simply a few days away.

We were upgraded to a lovely room, with a large comfortable four poster bed. On request we were given an extra blanket (which wasn't needed after all). Breakfast was delicious and excellent quality.

This recently renovated bed and breakfast is located 24 km from York Minster and 24 km from York Railway station. The property is non-smoking and is situated 28 km from Flamingo Land Theme Park.

The room was delightful and cosy, the bed was very comfortable and we both loved the rain shower in the bathroom. Hannah's breakfast was delicious, especially overnight oats and homegrown rhubarb compot. Both before our arrival and once we were there we felt very well looked after. The suggested walk from the front door was lovely. Thank you!

We had an excellent stay at this wonderful and quirky B&B for one night. The rooms were spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped with gorgeous toiletries, so didn't need to use our own. The owner is a fantastic host and provided such an excellent selection for a wonderful breakfast. The home baked bread rolls were fab! We can highly recommend your lovely b&b and tea room/interior shop.

A great annex with everything you need and nice home comforts. The property is nicely decorated, very light and airy and a real bonus having the outdoor space to relax. It’s in a great location, in the centre of town but as it’s set back a little it’s so quiet. Best of both worlds. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying again.

The cooked breakfast was great, cooked for you not on a hot plate going dry. The location is good as its a short walk to the Market Place or town centre for shops, cafes (numerous of them) and pubs. Having use of a private car park was really good, off the main road and secluded. Great hosts and staff, polite and friendly. Automatic/PIR lighting outside so you can see to get in the door also on the landing in the property. Bed was comfortable and able to select the temperature setting in the room.
