The room was very cosy, with a lovely little corner bed for the toddler. Everyone slept really well. There were plenty of cushions and pillows to get comfy and it was so good having food available in the morning to set us up for the day. Sara offered eggs, fruit, yogurt etc. On top of the cereals and toast already there. We were also treated to a few sweet goodies, which was lovely.

This family-run hotel and restaurant in the heart of the Cotswold Hills is close to Berkeley Castle, the Jenner Museum, the Wet Lands Trust and Slimbridge Severn Way.

Boasting a warm and welcoming atmosphere, The Malt House is an informal, friendly inn where you can relax with a good meal and drinks. Many attractions are nearby, and you can use the hotel as a cosy base for exploring Berkeley Vale and Gloucestershire’s countryside.

Wow what a blast out of the past this hotel was great. It really was something special out in the middle of a little town. The decommissioned nuclear plant is one thing. The town is great and this location was very special. Over 200 years old and the owner Wendy was fantastic. Pub was perfect and the food was fantastic.

    1. Location: very close to city centre (in walking distance), go downstairs you'll see post office, restaurant, tea house, shopping mall, etc. 2. The bed is very comfortable, also I love the scent that the towels and beddings have. 3. Also equipped with slippers, toothbrushes and shavers, which is very considerate.

Great location, easy check-in, clean and all the facilities both in room (kettle, hairdryer, slippers) and shared kitchen. Was kindly allowed a slightly later check-out as I did a running race so could shower afterwards, made a huge difference to being able to enjoy the rest of my day - thank you!
