The hotel staff were great and we really enjoyed our dinner. We were late arriving due to traffic problems, but they held our table in the restaurant, even though it was quite busy when we arrived. Judging by how full the car park was, the restaurant is very popular with locals - and it's in a lovely location. Room was very nice.

The Old House is in a charming spot in the middle of Llangynwyd. It is not cheap, but it very well looked after with good in-room facilities, serves excellent breakfast and was, on balance, worth the price. The ales are well kept and properly served and the car park is vast.

Great location, as wanted a getaway place. Intended to explore Bridgend and Porthcawl, so it was very convenient to get there from the hotel. There was an excellent restaurant, El Prado nearby, that was easy to get to. Staff were excellent and very helpful. The room was really warm, and the box of tissues was helpful as I had a bit of a cold! The room was quiet, and you could practically park outside.

The room was comfortable (particularly the bed and bed linen). The decor is slightly questionable but overall the vibe of the building is lovely and the bar and restaurant area is particularly quaint and charming. The staff were also very attentive and helpful. I would stay again and overall thought it was very good value for money.
