St Benedict - Victorian Bed and Breakfast, hotel in Bexhill

A 4-storey villa dating back to 1882, St Benedict - Victorian Bed and Breakfast embraces a 19th-century theme, with characterful period details and retaining its original Victorian layout.

The hosts were the heart and soul of the property. I can't begin to tell you how fabulous this place is, especially if you are an antique and story collector like me. The hosts were just amazing and happy to indulge me in my questions and to show me hidden secrets in the house. The gardens are stunning with a plethora of fruit and vegetables with butterflies fluttering about. Just magical. I loved it. The design of the hotel was nothing short of spectacular. Each space had its own personality, elegance and timeless charm. From the richly patterned wallpapers to the carefully curated art pieces, every detail seemed to tell a story. Beyond the beauty, the hotel’s comfort was on par with its aesthetic. My room was HUGE, the bed like a canopied cloud, and the amenities top-notch. There was high-speed Wi-Fi and tea and home made cake served in the drawing room upon arrival.

Lovely seafront location with free parking outside. It is almost a mile from the busier area with restaurants which is fine if you fancy a walk. It was a nice touch how breakfast was pre ordered the night before and cooked fresh for the time of your choice. Beautifully decorated room and hallway had pretty stained glass windows. The owner is a great host, she was very welcoming and helpful.

Lovely property in a great location, with excellent accommodation, a pretty, fully enclosed private garden, much enjoyed by our Cavachon, Rosie. Our host, Sam, was very helpful but non-intrusive.

Cottage was charming containing everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Quiet area and although the trains ran past the rear garden, could only really hear it when outside. Perfect for beach and exploring.

Great location, very quiet and the long promenade just across the street. Inside, the apartment was very comfortable and had most of what is needed for self catering except for two things that we couldn’t find : a bread knife, and a sieve/colander, essential for anyone surely! Large sofas for lounging and relaxing, after a ten minute walk back from any of the several great places to eat in Bexhill. We also found safe roadside parking about ten minutes away on foot, heading towards Cooden.

This place is truly superb. Great location close to the sea and beach with good walks along the promenade . The town is just round the corner with shops, restaurants and the train station is 10 minutes walk away. . Bexhill is a lovely quiet seaside town. The apartment it self is just wonderful. Warm and cosy with good quality bedding and kitchen equipment. The bath toiletries were lovely and we really appreciated the Christmas decorations. All in all we could not have asked for more.
