The Percy Arms, hotel in Belford

In the heart of rural Northumberland in the village of Chatton, The Percy Arms offers bed and breakfast alongside a pub and restaurant. This Chatton inn has free on-site parking and Wi-Fi.

The breakfast was excellent- plenty of choices and well cooked. We were looking for a dog friendly accommodation in Northumberland to break up a journey from Oban to Essex. The Percy Arms was 4 miles off the A1 and was an excellent choice. A lot of money has been spent on the hotel in the last few years and the accommodation standard was excellent. The price was a little higher than budget accommodation but you definitely notice the extra value. Staff were excellent and friendly. We ate here and the food is excellent. The bar was used by locals and people eating were all couples.

The Blue Bell is a genuine museum piece - an eighteenth century coaching in on the Great North Road. It's charming, but it's not a Premier Inn built twenty years ago and refurbished twice since.. it's a survivor, with more character than luxury.
