Apart from the super comfy and cosy room, it was the genuine kindness and hospitality from Donna and Paul that made our stay in Megstone House memorable. Never to forget! And Paul: the breakfast was cooked to perfection! A real gem! Would recommend it to anyone! Thank you Donna and Paul ...

An incredibly welcoming atmosphere. Hans is very friendly and knows a lot about the area. He gave me some useful tips. The room was tidy, clean, and confortable. I wish I could have this breakfast every day and of I ever visit the area again, this B&B will be my first choice.

We loved the horses and views at The Stables! Our room was right beside the stables and we loved waking up to seeing the horses peak out from their stalls and in the fields each morning. Very comfortable room with kitchen facility and large bathroom.

At the guest house, the units have a desk, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, bed linen and towels. Additional in-room amenities include chocolates or cookies. The units will provide guests with a wardrobe and a kettle.

This review is only about the lovely room 3, which is a really nice independent building behind a house with other rooms to rent. It felt nicely separate and very quiet. Very clean and a beautiful bathroom with a good shower. There is a kettle and even a small fridge. There is also a fan, which I think is often essential. Parking is well organized and off-road. See the photo on the inside of the door for how to park. We arrived and settled in - meaning I had a beer. When we went out for a walk, the owner came out to say 'Hello' to us. She was really nice and chatty - but not intrusive or a nuisance. Just nice. Loads of places to eat and drink within easy walking distance. Nice harbour to walk around. A brush and dustpan would have been useful. We always seem to spill something when there isn't one!

Comfortable settees and large bed. The towels are lovely and fluffy. The house was lovely and warm.Lots of parking next to the accommodation. The cottage is set in an area with no other buildings around so lovely and quiet. Waking up to the birds was lovely. We watched the birds in the woodland opposite the house. Very near Bamburgh but slightly too far to walk.

Great location and fabulous staff. Only down side was the double bed, king size should be standard in all hotels nowadays, but other than that can’t fault the hotel, brilliant weekend.

Great location, well presented , refurbished , reception and bar areas.Good restaurant, nice food and reasonable prices. Friendly , helpful staff, as typical in the NE. The hotel is obviously undergoing renovation, so the rooms vary. We went as part of a group, some of us had fantastic recently refurbished rooms, others slightly dared but still pleasant and comfortable ones. There is private parking. Recommended for a brilliant stay in a fantastic part of our lovely country.
