This is great Inn, a real home lounge from home. Extremely friendly, great beer, great food and very good service. Very good breakfast, freshly cooked, no buffet thankfully.

We arrived an hour earlier than we anticipated. The property was not as it appears on the photo, we were disappointed by the very busy location. Parking was difficult, it's on a main road and the few spaces were full. There was no-one at the property anyway, so we left a message on the intercom and returned later. On return the owner was abrupt, saying I'm very busy 'you booked late, you're lucky to get a space, we are full up'. Then 'If you want breakfast you need to tell me now what you want' . Bear in mind this was only 4pm. We had booked late due to a bereavement. My wife was upset by the attitude. Our stay was a complete mistake.

Lovely b &b, staff extremely helpful, great breakfast. Room was very nice, very clean and bed comfortable. pub 5 mins walk away which had excellent beer and great food. Would stay again.

A unique rural & quite unusual 'Hotel' - It is not what I would call boutique but it is very comfortable with many historical features in the common areas and the room that we were in was great. The evening meal was prepared by the owner (4th generation in the family I believe) & was excellent & not expensive. Breakfast was perfect and again prepared by the owner. The grounds are wonderful and perfect for an afternoon or evening stroll & I understand the owner also runs an Equine centre adjacent so Horsey folks are well catered for.

A great host, really friendly and accomodating. Felt relaxed and at home. Fabulous location. Really comfy beds, quiet location. We were the only guests so although it was a shared bathroom, it wasn’t an issue. Loved all the crystals lying around.
Warm cosy room, great host, great location near the stones. We loved the warm welcome from Louie the pup! You can get a cooked vegetarian breakfast for £10 each.

Great location for Avebury and the many attractions in the area - including access to the Ridgeway - but tucked away and very quiet. Small number of rooms makes for a personal feel.
The food in the pub was extremely good value for evening meal and the breakfast options were extensive, setting you up for a day’s walk.

Property in quiet rural location with great views. Excellent breakfast. Clean room, with a huge bathroom. It was a bonus having a fridge in the room, stocked with cold drinks and fresh milk. We were very well looked after by the friendly hosts.
Food at the on site pub was excellent.
Breakfast was fantastic! Loads of choice, lovely fresh fruit & local produce included & eggs were amazing! I had eggs benedict with salmon which was delicious! Lovely quiet rural location close to Avebury village & stone circle.
