This was a stop gap the night before going to Champneys. It ended up being an event in its self. Staff were lovely, breakfast delicous and the room super cute, comfy with lots of extra detail. Would come back just to stay as it was so lovely..

Lovely owners who made me feel really at home. Beds were very comfortable, and nice breakfast options were provided for a few quid. Overall had a very nice and relaxed stay. Owner was so nice to store our luggage for the day when we were about to leave. Location is good as well; bus stop right in front of the house. Train station at 10min walk. Pubs, food, shops 10min walk to center.

A beautiful inn, very old and set in a lovely, quiet village surrounded by fields. Despite being less than 10 minutes' drive from the nearest town it felt far away from the huzzle and buzzle of the town/city. There was no phone signal but the free Wifi solved that problem perfectly. Parking was no issue at all. Staff were very friendly and pleasant. A very relaxing stay I will happily use again.

Most comfortable bed ever. Although the bedroom was on the high street, it was so quiet with a lovely outlook, even for a very fussy person like me! Tasteful and charming decor, especially for a nature lover like myself. Very clean too. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Felt totally refreshed after staying here. Not to be missed.

The Domek is situated in a beautiful old building in peaceful, rural surroundings. The decor and furnishings are very well presented and stylish. There was decent wi-fi, nice shower and good private parking. The surrounding gardens were lovely and no doubt will be even more so in the coming months

Friendly, helpful staff. Great location in centre of Ashwell. Spacious, clean, quiet bedroom. Looks to have been relatively recently redecorated. TV has Netflix, Amazon Prime and other stuff. Continental breakfast available at any hour of the morning (cereal, bread/toast, yogurts, fruit juice, fruit) so good if you need to leave early. Cooked breakfast supposedly from 9:00a.m. and (I think) usually an optional extra. Plenty of car parking space.
