When the only restaurant in town did not open as expected, and the only boulangerie had just closed for the day, we had no place to go but return to our room. The hosts noticed that we came back (from supposed dinner) too soon and asked if we had dinner. They offered to prepare dinner for us when they learned about what happened. We had a delicious dinner and paid them for the meal with great appreciation. Oh, another thing, it is very comforting to enter the room and find bottles of water and various kind of tea and snacks available after a long day of walking on Via Francigena!

Warm welcome from Beatris despite arriving at night. lovely rooms, clean, comfortable and practical. We were provided with the extra bedding without any problem as I had forgotten to specify it on the booking. Tasty breakfast with home made jams and fresh pancakes.

Breakfast was cooked fresh for the four of us and it was excellent. It was delicious, and there was so much of it. We learned the story of perte de pain "Lost Bread" which we call French toast in the US. We had a champagne tasting the evening of our stay which was informative and delightful. Our hostess shared the story of their family champagnes which was such a treat.

Beautifully decorated hotel. Comfortable beds and excellent bathroom. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and there was a delicious restaurant downstairs. Champagne available to purchase in minibar was a nice touch, enjoyed very much.
