Philippe and Kathy were wonderful hosts. Philippe took care of our reservations for dinner just around the corner at Popa Will immediately upon our arrival. They invited us for apple juice cocktails in their garden. Our rooms were tastefully restored and decorated to the 18th century. The bathrooms were roomy and clean. They were accommodated our requests for early breakfasts. The village of St Benoit was stunningly beautiful, especially at dusk.

We wanted a place to stay half way between Paris and Toulouse, and St Benoit en Sault fit the bill. The owners are renovating an old house in the medieval village and the renovation of our room was completed in July. So everything was new - lovely bathroom, comfortable bed, stylish decor. The outside of the building looks run-down, but don't be deceived: the inside is lovely. Breakfast was in a dining room and had nice touches - proper napkins, nice china. The breakfast was fine - apple juice, coffee, bread roll, croissant, butter, jam, bread pudding (!), fruit. The place is quiet, and the village is worth visiting.

Nicely tucked away from it all but easy to find this charming house with lovely grounds is a real getaway from your drive up the motorway. The owners were welcoming and friendly with the brilliantly well equiped kitchen facilities, including very good coffee machine together with tasteful crockey for you to use a decided bonus ...yes will be staying there again now have found it as make trips along the A20 three or four times a year.

The hosts were perfect! They made us delicious food, had excellent tips for hiking, and were very punctual. The location is very quiet at night, good for perfect sleeping. The area is beautiful and not very touristic which is exactly what we always look for. Thank you Lynn & Howard.

Everything was very nice! The room was spacious, bed comfy, plenty of hot water and BONUS there was a fan, which provided that little bit of coolness for a better sleep. The meal Matthew made for us was very delicious. The evening walk by the nearby lake was such a peaceful end to our day.

Amazing host and great place to stay. Close to the motorway if you want a stop on your way…but after doing this I think we will come back :)
