We loved the Sasquatch Inn - our stay was absolutely made by the friendliness and helpfulness of every single staff member we came into contact with. The pub was brilliant - we had dinner both nights ... delicious! The bald eagles and other birds so close by was a surprise bonus. And did I mention the wonderful staff? :)

Fei and Harold are two wonderful people. We felt very comfortable. The rooms are beautifully furnished. It is totally quiet as the road is very far away. A little paradise. A clear recommendation!

I almost hesitate to write a review as I fear my words will not be able to do it justice. My boyfriend and I booked The Hazelhouse for a little weekend getaway and although from previous reviews we had high expectations, nothing could prepare us for just how truly wonderful it was. Minke was without a doubt the best host we have ever had, the attention to detail and care that she puts into ensuring a positive stay is out of this world. The room we stayed, the living room and bathroom are all large, so well taken care of and breathtakingly beautiful. The breakfast each morning was on par with any fancy restaurant with the most beautiful setting overlooking the mountains, river and fireplace. Our biggest takeaway from the whole trip though, was just how much Minke loves what she does, I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone so passionate about being a BnB host and it truly shows in the quality of the stay, everywhere was spotless, decorated perfectly and was made to make our stay as comfortable as possible. This heritage home is an absolute must stay and I will be telling everyone who will listen that they must go and experience it.

The Lodge is located in a beautiful setting. The building has a lot of history, and is currently decorated with many pieces of Indigenous art which was very much appreciated. We especially enjoyed the peace and quite, and the greetings from the household cats. Breakfast was very good, and included a fresh fruit salad.

Stayed here for one night on the way to the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal. Great location for staying out of the hectic cities, and they are pet friendly for a $20+tax fee. The room was very up to date with quiet A/C and a comfortable bed -- extremely good value for an overnight stay. Judging by the number of folks at the pub downstairs, it's a popular location off the beaten path.

It was a perfect little get-a-way to celebrate an anniversary. Away from the hustle and bustle of life, a quiet spot but close enough to interesting sites to see. Very friendly hosts, great breakfasts.

Greeted warmly by our hosts on arrival. The room was big with a very comphy bed.We had a large balcony over looking the orchard of fruit trees. Chickens roaming everywhere and eggs for sale. Theres coffee, juice & toast available in the morning. Extremely quiet and peaceful place. There is a large rustic room with pool table, piano, books,cd for guests. There is also a private cabin where we plan to stay next time.

The lodge was in a nice, quiet country location. The lodge had lots of character and the staff were all very friendly. We had an excellent breakfast and enjoyed the company of the other guests. Hearing the frogs croaking at night was a unique experience -- we really felt like we were away from it all.
