This is an amazingly well preserved and looked after property. Lots of old world charm, warm and inviting. The host “Nina”, does an incredible job making you feel so welcomed and at home with her friendliness and home cooking. This was our 3rd stay there and looking forward to returning. The garden is beautiful, the rooms are spotless and the location is so close to Hobart central.

For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Situated in a very quiet street, Sorrel Barracks is charming! We stayed 3 nights in the old supply store which is the stand alone building on the left end of the Barracks. The kitchen and bathroom were equipped with everything you need when on holidays, and the queen sized bed was very comfy. Sorrel is a close drive from the city, the beautiful village of Richmond, and is only a 10 minute drive from the airport. It was the perfect home base for day trips around the Hobart area. Would definitely recommend!

It's was very quiet and private. Loved it.
Will be spending a lot of time in Tassie so this place now will definitely be my go to from here on.
