Walking distance to a great beach, about a ten minute walk. The gas igniter for the wood burning fireplace made it real easy to have a cozy fire at night. They replenished the wood box daily. Our cabin had a lovely private patio.

At the resort, every room is fitted with a balcony. With a private bathroom equipped with a bath or shower and free toiletries, certain units at Hyatt Vacation Club At Highlands Inn also provide guests with a sea view. All units at the accommodation are equipped with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a safety deposit box. I paid the highest room rate for the ocean view suite,but I didn't get an ocean-view room. The front of the room is blocked by many buildings, and only one corner has a sea view. The facilities are old, especially the shower. I booked a room with a double bed for me and two children, but they gave me a room with a large bed. I am very confused."

The accommodation offers room service and a 24-hour front desk for guests. the breakfast is quite possibly one of the most incredible things about this hotel. They provide it with your reservation, and it is cooked for you, offered in the room or at a beautiful outdoor courtyard on property with a fireplace. The staff was very helpful, and offered amenities like free rides up the hill to the center of town. This hotel is down by the beach, just a block away, which is why I chose to stay here vs 6 blocks up hill in the center of town. It is quiet, private, a nice sanctuary. they place a lot of emphasis on their spa and the bathrooms. Those latter are amazing, each (I believe) has a tub with bath salts, etc, plus robes, slippers. I did not try the spa, but it seemed to be a destination for many of those staying there. (We were there in the offseason, February). The hotel’s food is quite good too although we only had snacks and a couple drinks at their bar. I believe the rates are a good value, for what you receive.
