We had to leave at 5am for a flight, they even did a take away breakfast for us with juice, bars, croissants, fruit. I HIGHLY recommend this for anyone - wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautifully Renovated Self-Contained Farm Cottage - close to beaches, North Berwick and the Golf Coast is located in North Berwick, 6.4 km from Muirfield, 31 km from Edinburgh Playhouse, and 31 km from Royal Mile. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the holiday home free of charge. Royal Yacht Britannia is 32 km from the holiday home and Arthurs Seat is 32 km away. We really enjoyed our two night break in this lovely cozy property. The location was great, so close to the National Air Museum which was well worth a visit. Concord was amazing to see! A short drive to North Berwick and Yellow Craig beach, both lovely to visit with the dog. Yummy fish n chips take away from North Berwick. So easy to catch the train into Edinburgh from the station opposite to the cottage. We enjoyed the log burner and watching movies on an evening. Yes the cottage is small but it’s very clean and nicely decorated with a modern feel. My 2 girls were happy with their single beds and we were comfy in the double bed. As mentioned restricted head height upstairs but we didn’t find this a problem. (I am only 5ft so no issues for me!) Thank you we would definitely return again and recommend to friends.

Royal Mile is 5.9 km from the guest house and Edinburgh Waverley station is 6.3 km away. Chris and Sinead were incredible hosts and made us feel at home from check-in. The breakfast each morning was something we looked forward to each day. It was restaurant quality (wife asked for a recipe) and the soft background music (personal note here) was spot on. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The property is located near a bus stop, so getting around isn’t an issue. Lastly, it’s a 2 minute (max) skip down to the beach. It’s one block away.

A wonderful hotel, staff were superb from arrival to departure, rooms are fabulous with luxurious beds and toiletries, clean towels every day whether needed or not. Only 10 mins walk from the hotel to a gorgeous sandy beach, and Gullane has a charming main street. We ate in the main restaurant and the food was amazing, and we used the main bar and the outside garden area and loved the service given and choice of food and drinks in both. Will definitely be back!

The nearest airport is Edinburgh Airport, 14 km from the property. Absolutely welcoming B&B, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lynne prepared an extensive breakfast with amazing handmade scones. The room was very nice and spatious. We wholeheartedly recommend to stay here and wish Lynne & Robert all the best for their upcoming renovation!

Situated in the historic town of Gullane, on the southern shore of the Firth of Forth, Maple Cottage B&B offers easy access to the championship Muirfield Links Golf Club, 3 minutes’ drive away. Many other nearby golf clubs can be reached within walking distance from the B&B. The hostess Heather very friendly and entertaining and answered all our annoying questions with great Scottish humor. Private en suite and a FABULOUS well behaved dog.
