Howth was perfect as we wanted to recharge our batteries in a location close enough to Dublin to allow a short visit to the city. The hotel's location enabled us to have some leisurely walks, including along the three piers. The size of the King Sitric suited us well and made a pleasant change.
The hotel itself was maintained to a high standard and the maritime theme expressed itself in a restrained but very balanced and thoughtful manner throughout the building. Our room was immaculate and the bed extremely comfortable. It was lovely to be so close to the sea.
The breakfasts were first class. There was plenty of choice and the quality of the ingredients was very good. The kippers were excellent.
The dinner menu highlighted the varied local produce, primarily the seafood. Presentation was very good and the food delicious.
The staff we met were very friendly and professional.
This hotel is highly recommended for a short break away.

The location is good, a 45 min bus ride to Dublin centre with a busstop across the.street. Very close to the sea, nice for walks.
The bedroom is a decent size with ample storage.
There’s nothing quite like waking up to the sound of swirling waves and the smell of sea air through your bedroom window. Beachfront accommodation comes in a variety of forms, from well decked-out resorts to secluded homestays and villas. Beach hotel amenities can include air-conditioned rooms, private terraces overlooking the sea and outdoor pools with adjacent bars.
Location was great - beautiful, peaceful little seaside town and only 20 mins into centre Dublin. Shops and restaurants nearby and lovely walks nearby. Bus to airport 2 mins walk away. Apartment easy to use, communal areas large and well equiped, loved the Cinema, the kitchen and the lounge. Self contained apartment small but had everything you needed for a short stay. Loved the wall mounted bed which pulled down over the settee. Lovely shower with plenty of high pressure hot water.
The rooms were lovely, the beds were very comfortable.
The location was perfect whether you wanted a walk on the beach or go into town shopping, everything was close by.
We were happy with everything and were really impressed with how modern and chic the place was. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.
We also enjoyed the area which was not in the city centre but an easy train ride from there and it felt like we were in a different city, a small seaside town, it was lovely.
I liked the fact I could park outside the property. The room had all mod cons and was warm. The host was very accessible and made it a very comfortable stay. The fact I had a car made it an ideal location. Parking in Dublin is very difficult and expensive so staying here was ideal as I could park for free outside and still easily get to towns nearby. It is a 5 minute drive to Dalkey which is a very scenic seaside area.
I would highly recommend this B and B. The bedroom was beautiful and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and extremely generous. The house is beautiful and its location is very convenient for public transport and for pleasant seaside walks. It’s handy for Dublin city centre, as well as for UCD and the south county Dublin suburbs. The hosts were lovely and welcoming — I can’t fault it!
The staff (well, the one member I met and who seemed like a manager) was very friendly and helpful; the location is good - in a nice, quiet area south of the city centre - about 25 minutes on foot to Grafton Street and there are good bus connections just outside the guesthouse taking you to the city centre and in the other direction more south to Bray (seaside); check out is 11; good tea/coffee-making facilities; there was good heating in the room...
- Active, nice and accommodating staffs
- Great location: near beach, overlooking seaside, shop just right beside the hotel, near DART station
- Walking distance to Ballsbridge, Blackrock so a lot of things to do even without a car.
- Room fully equipped
- Very nice shower
My wife and I had a one night stay last night. From the moment we arrived and met Elena, the amazing hostess, until we left today, was just perfect. It is easy to find, exceptionally clean, very high quality furnishings in our room. Tea and coffee making facilities, water, juice and chocolate. The breakfast was just what we ordered. I most definitely will book again. Well done Beach view. And yes, a walk on the beach is just opposite
The staff were great. Nothing was too much for them. The room was excellent and had everything and more than was to be expected. Beach House B&B is great for a walk on the beach and local facilities.
