The property has been modernised to a great standard and it was close to the sea in a quiet area. The beds and furniture were comfortable and everything was spotless. A good base for sightseeing and seeing glorious sunsets.
The Fountain Inn overlooks the River Medina and has harbour views from its al fresco dining area. It offers free Wi-Fi, a good breakfast and live music on most Friday and Saturday nights.

The location is 10/10 for shops, restaurants, bars and buses. The property is very clean and has all the facilities for a lovely stay. Annette the host is wonderful, very attentive.
There’s nothing quite like waking up to the sound of swirling waves and the smell of sea air through your bedroom window. Beachfront accommodation comes in a variety of forms, from well decked-out resorts to secluded homestays and villas. Beach hotel amenities can include air-conditioned rooms, private terraces overlooking the sea and outdoor pools with adjacent bars.
The room was very comfortable, the food was excellent and the service was exceptional. It is a very busy hotel , very popular with the locals. The gardens lead down to a small beach and you can eat from the restaurant menu or a more snacky menu. It is always very busy but the staff were amazing, friendly and efficient. Orders were taken and delivered much quuicker than I expected. The food, and we ate from both menu's during our stay, was very good indeed.
The location was perfect. About 20 mins walk from Yarmouth via the beach. The place was comfy and had everything you need. Basic but that's all you need. Didn't cook much because there was so many places to eat from. Great bus connections. Great base to go for adventuring around the island. We were back on the ground floor.
Location is excellent with some of the Island's best walks and scenery on the doorstep, the best beaches a couple of miles to the south and the creek just to the north. On a main bus route to Newport and the Yarmouth ferry.

The George Hotel is a wonderful old building with a fantastic history in a superb location. Attached to Yarmouth Castle and with its own beachfront overlooking the Solent.
