Oarsman's Bay Lodge, hotel in Nacula Island

Oarsmans Bay Lodge offers accommodation in Nacula Island an adult-only resort, for 18 years and above. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant and bar.

Staff were welcoming, food & service was great! Bure was lovely and clean, bed comfy and I loved the outdoor shower. Grown "kids" stayed in the dormitory which was adequate, as expected for shared accommodations. 3 of 4 in group did the Cave excursion and all enjoyed. Massages by Louisa were excellent!

The staff were friendly and readily answered any questions we had. They arranged boat trips readily to the caves and the Blue Lagon beach and for snorkeling. Our room was spacious and had all the amenities we needed. The grounds of the lodge were peaceful. The food was good quality wholesome cooking - thank you for the experience of eating octopus - it was so tender. Thank you all for a wonderful Fijian experience.

Malakati Village Beach House, hotel in Nacula Island

Facing the seafront in Nacula Island, Malakati Village Beach House has a private beach area and a garden. There is a private entrance at the homestay for the convenience of those who stay.

The two homestay bures are right on the most beautiful beach. There were times where you would have the entire beach to yourself. The villagers were really welcoming and we loved learning about village life. While we were there the village were having a celebration and they included us in their festivities which was great. Our young children enjoyed playing with the kids there. We felt well enough to have a short walk through the village’s plantation on our final day there which is really impressive.

S@fe Landing Lodge, hotel in Nacula Island

Facing the beachfront, S@fe Landing Lodge offers 2-star accommodation in Nacula Island and features a garden, terrace and restaurant.

The remoteness & beauty of this property is exactly what I was looking for. Water this colour & clarity should be illegal 🤩 The rooms are simple and undergoing gradual improvement after some economic & weather crisis. I can look past some timber rot & holes in the bathroom roof when the conditions outside are this perfect. We took full advantage of all the activities offered here and went to the caves, blue lagoon & reef hop snorkelling trips. All were fantastic but a ladder to get back in the boat from the reef hop would be required for all but the fittest specimens. We struggled but managed with some hilarity & bruises. We met some wonderful people on these outings & across the table at meal times. The snorkelling is epic in this region (take your own gear if you can) Things to note: there are no shops, no bars, no ice. so if you want snacks or drinks take them with you. The only thing available outside of the meal plan is the occasional coconut which goes well with some duty free rum if you’re that way inclined. The meal plan is simple food & will keep you alive but is no foodie haven, keep your expectations on that keel & you won’t be disappointed. Remember that refrigeration is a luxury out here so a lot of food needs to be dry stored & the meals reflect that. Rice, potato, breadfruit, cabbage, tomato based flavours, flour based homemade cakes, bread’s & pancakes, etc. Meats are of course refrigerated correctly (powered by generators) and we had a health inspector doing the rounds & eating with us during our stay. When you stay here remember you are directly contributing to the local economy & supporting local businesses & families. It’s freakin paradise people, take it as you find it.

The location and outlook of the property is spectacular. Our Bure was huge and had a full separate lounge area and patio, right on the beach. The staff were fantastic and made you feel so at home. The trail up the mountain behind the property was an unexpected highlight for the most amazing sunset viewing.

Oarsman's Bay Lodge is literally paradise. We saw a lot of other reviews say that before we visited but we can attest to that after having experienced it for ourselves. With beautiful clear waters, stunning coral life, gorgeous sunsets, amazing beachfronts and the friendliest staff, we couldn't bear to leave this place. The food was really amazing as well! Would highly recommend doing some hiking and visiting the village to soak in the most of what this beautiful island has to offer.

Resort is beautiful, on pretty strech of the beach. Beachfront bure was amazing, totally fitting this island vibe with open sky shower. Staff were friendly. What we liked the most is no crowd- very peaceful and quite atmosphere. Corals on the left side from resort were great for snorkeling. We did 30 min hike from the resort uphill (some parts were steep) and got beautiful views of both sides of the island and sunset. If we ever come back to Yasawas we would revisit this resort! Salome the host and her family were wonderfully hospitable providing outstanding meals including home baked cakes and introductions to Fijian culture. The bure was right on the beach and you could hear the waves as you went to sleep. Salome cooked the fish we caught on the fishing trip and did everything within her power to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

The location is absolutely spectacular. The lodge is right on the beachfront on a beautiful bay with a sizeable coral reef in short distance from the shore. There are lots of activities and trips to choose from each day (some paid and some free) and all of the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, we were made to feel right at home. The food was excellent, all freshly made and prepared with local ingredients. We would love to come back when we can. Vinaka vakalevu! 😊🙏🙌
