Wisteria Way is a recently renovated guest house in Opononi where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge. A beautiful guest house in the vicinity of Waipoua Kauri forest, with fantastic garden. It is located close to a main road, but there was not traffic at night and the place was very quiet. As there is no town nearby, we could observe an amazing sky with thousands and thousands of stars in the evening. Very friendly and helpful host.

Hokianga Haven offers accommodations in Opononi, 1.1 miles from Opononi Beach. This beachfront property offers access to a patio, free private parking, and free Wifi. We stayed on the basis of self catering. What we loved about the property was that it exceeded our expectations. The position is wonderful with immediate access to the beach. Whilst there are very few facilities for us in this location (it didn’t matter as that’s why we chose to stay there) there was a hotel where we ate it and the two nights we were there and that was extremely good. There was a local shop where we go to get supplies. On a five week trip to New Zealand, this was one of the highlights!
