A nice house in a quiet and tranquil neighborhood, only a few minutes from the (great and at our time empty) beach and train station. It felt like a family home, not very new, but very cozy. We had a lovely and relaxing stay. Nice details like a usb charging station, very pretty japanese tableware or a japanese teapot.

It was a dormitory and I was worrying about the noise. But it was very quiet at night and lights were turned off by the staff at 11pm, which was nice. I was able to sleep well. The location is walkable from the station. Neighborhood is quiet. There was a map showing shops and restaurants nearby at the guesthouse. The owner kindly told us a vegetarian dinner option (an udon restaurant which opens till late, just 5min walk from the guesthouse). Luggage storage after checkout was also possible.

The house is very clean and owner is detailed to provide all the necessities. We love the kitchen which provides all the necessary utensils and we cooked our breakfast. It has a small lift in the house to bring us up to Level 2 and 3. Overall still a pleasant stay as the view from the house was good.

The non-English speaking staff were very helpful and accommodating with me and my translation app. The paths throughout the whole island were for the most part paved. Excellent views of wildlife, foliage, and slow walks through small villages. The beach was good for combing.

The host was very welcoming and helped us cook our dinners. He offered us his food, oil, array of soya sauces to supplement our meals. He was very kind and generous with his time! Our room was a sauna when we arrived (36 degrees!), but quickly cooled down with the A/C. It was quite big with a comfortable double bed, desk, and balcony.
