Fantastic communication with the owner. Really lovely villa. Our flight home wasn't until 9pm and he let us stay later than the usual check out time for free. No charge. The villa is 500 metres from the main road that runs through Maleme. The owner will email you directions. Really secluded location. Nobody overlooking when we were by the pool. Off-road car parking enough for 3 or 4 cars. The kitchen is well equipped. Modern Swiss made oven and four ring hob. All the cutlery, utensils, crockery, mugs, glasses, Pyrex oven dishes, roasting tin etc. Can openers, bottle openers it's got the lot. Electric kettle, toaster, electric sandwich maker, coffee maker. No microwave but we managed without. The owner provided a bottle of washing up liquid, two teatowels and washing up sponges which was a nice touch. Living room has two large sofas with big flat screen TV and 260 satellite TV channels. Dining table and chairs. Bedrooms very comfortable. Three bathrooms. Toilet paper provided. Bottles of hand soap in each bathroom. Hand, bath and poolside towels provided. Excellent pool area with new sun loungers. Outdoor table with six chairs under a pergola. Large barbecue (the local supermarket Synka on Maleme main street sells big bags of bbq charcoal for about 6.50 Euros, firelighters, lighters etc. in the basement of the supermarket). About two miles in the opposite direction from the Synka supermarket is a large Lidl. Just stay on the same main road and it is just past the Shell petrol station. The villa has a washing machine which enabled us to do all the laundry before we got home. There are some clothes pegs there but you might want to take a pack with you if you're planning on doing laundry. We got bitten to death by mosquitos so take mossie repellent with you. We bought Raid room spray and a citronella candle for outside from Synka supermarket. Overall we were very impressed with Villa Palma. The owner is very nice and helpful.

Quiet location. Garden less green than in photo due to loss of banana tree in winter storms but owners have added fencing to increase privacy. Hostess Lena was so friendly and welcoming with delicious home-baked savoury pastries , moussaka and cake! The broken parasol was replaced straight away. There are several restaurants with in 20 minutes walk and a lively busier town 10min drive away. The bus stop for coach pick up is 11 mins walk ( for the beautiful Samaria Gorge...hard trek!)

Wonderful kids friendly villas with private pool and with small playground for kids. You can spend whole vacation here, The owner Mr. Spiros and his family are very kind and helpful. They kept milk, fruits, water and other stuff for us. Villas are neat and clean, owner takes good care of it. I wish l, i could give 11 stars.

The location was perfect and peaceful but amenities are very close by.The villa was exceptional in quality and cleanliness and everything you would need for a brilliant stay. The hosts Dimitris and Maria were wonderful.Excellent communication all the time ,all queries before the trip were answered swiftly and excellent communication whilst on holiday makes things a lot easier.

Very nice and quiet place. The apartment is equipped with all amenities, very well-kept and functional. Georgia is very nice and always smiling;) caring and helpful. Thank you for the delicious cake and eggs from happy chickens ;) A place that is an ideal starting point for exploring western Crete.

The location was in a peaceful, rural setting with wonderful views of the mountains. There was a short walk to a local shop for supplies and a supermarket in Maleme. There was an interesting shop in Maleme which sold traditional Cretan produce. The wife of the owner spoke good English. There is also a local pottery which has its own shop. There is a good ,friendly, English speaking cafe near the pottery shop. There is a nearby bus stop with cheap, tourist orientated buses and a good supply of information from Canea bus station.
